When designing moody dark rooms, velvets are the perfect material to compliment the darkness either by contrasting it or by showing off the hues of the same colour (ie. blue wall against blue velvet). For the black walls of this living room we chose Ravens Flight by Dulux Heritage @duluxuk as it’s not “black hole black” and doesn’t completely absorb all the light and we contrasted this with a velvet mustard sofa, and white and greens in the accessories, art and plants!
