Gems of the Week: Terracotta

We've been looking at terracotta as inspiration for one of our current projects. So for this weeks Gems of the Week post we are sharing a few terracotta delights along side beautiful objects and spaces which complement the magnificent colour.

TERRACOTTA TUNNEL BY BOBBY CLARK

This geometric painting by Melbourne artist Bobby Clark is visual perfection. Clark's artwork explores the symmetry and balance of shapes, creating minimal studies of shape composition.

THE CORNER

This has to be our favourite gem. What we like about this space is that it's slightly cluttered, creating a homey look and feel. The gallery wall adds colour, dimension and texture. We're also particularly fond of the armchair and round wooden vanity mirror.

This white 1950's Pierre Guariche chair would go beautifully along side a terracotta wall or artwork.

Apulia, Italy Country Home

Last but not least we've selected this shower room in a country home in Apulia, Italy.  We adore the washed terracotta walls, which give the room a raw, rural feeling. The contrasting white concrete complements the orange tones wonderfully and brightens the space.
